Regional officials and community members welcomed Hofni Iipinge, the newly appointed Governor of the Oshana Region, as he officially assumed office.

Speakers at the event extended their best wishes and expressed strong support for Governor Iipinge, urging him to continue advancing the region’s development agenda with exemplary leadership and a clear vision for growth and unity.

The welcoming ceremony was attended by a broad spectrum of participants, including Oshana residents, regional and local authority councillors, family members of the governor, representatives from traditional authorities, and uniformed personnel led by Oshana Police Commander Naftali Sackaria and members of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF).

Governor Iipinge conveyed his gratitude to his predecessor for his dedicated service to the region.

The outgoing governor, Elia Irimari, formally handed over the office key and symbols of authority to the incoming governor.
