Emergency Response teams in the ||Kharas Region conducted a simulation exercise to test and enhance effective coordination in emergency readiness and response.

The exercise, which simulated a road accident scenario, was conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development (MURD) in Keetmanshoop.

The Keetmanshoop Municipality hosted the exercise for fire brigades of the southern clusters, which include the local authorities of Lüderitz, Oranjemund, Karasburg, Bethanie, Koës, Aroab, Berseba and Tses.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MHSS), law enforcement, and paramedics also participated in the exercise.
