Visually impaired Kleophes Petrus (32), a motivational speaker and founder of the Home-Full Organisation for the Visually Impaired, walked from Okahandja to Windhoek with the assistance of Namibian traffic officers to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV).
The walk aimed to advocate for GBV prevention strategies and urge the government to provide job opportunities for social workers, given the increasing rates of suicide and gender-based violence in the country.
He walked from Okahandja to Windhoek and headed to the Office of the Prime Minister to submit a petition.
