Trainees at the Rundu Vocational Training Centre (RVTC) will have an opportunity to polish their soft skills by assembling prototype trucks.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Namibia University of Science and Technology have a bilateral technical cooperation, The Employability Improvement Project.

The EIP is designed to develop employable graduates for the labour market, equipping them with the necessary soft skills required for the workplace.

They handed over training kit material, which includes instructional manuals and truck parts to assemble 25 trucks.

The whole idea is for the trainees to work together to solve problems.

The assembly of the prototype trucks consists of theoretical and practical parts.

The experts say the assembling process helps learners experience the true value of leadership and innovation in a workplace-like environment.
