The Minister of Education Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, says the ministry is aware of the immense challenges faced by teachers, such as inadequate infrastructure, scarce resources, and the need for psychosocial support. 

In light of the World Teachers' Day commemoration, Steenkamp reiterated the Ministry's commitment to continued efforts to tackle these challenges.

World Teachers' Day is marked on October 5th every year.
