Namibia and Botswana have signed a series of agreements aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation, following the conclusion of the second session of the Bi-National Commission (BNC).

The new accords cover a wide range of sectors, including Energy Resources, as well as several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), such as the MoU on Gainful Employment of Spouses and Dependents of Diplomatic and Consular Staff, the MoU on Cultural Cooperation, and the MoU on Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation.

Additional agreements were also concluded in the areas of Corrections and Prisons, the MoU in Police Cooperation, Health, and Employment and Labour.
Presidents Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Duma Boko reaffirmed their governments' commitment to fully implement the agreements within the stipulated timeframe, emphasising that there should be no excuses for delays.

Both leaders underscored the importance of political will in ensuring that the objectives of the signed MoUs are realised.
Botswana is set to host the third session of the Bi-National Commission in 2027.
