Those in the artistic industry say they still face many challenges when starting up a business.
An 18-year-old, Liina Angula living in the capital ventured in designing clothes from recycling materials.

She shared her story with Business Today

" As soon as I'm done with school, I will actually like to start a business where I will create clothes that I made from recycled material and then I will market them on Instagram, tick tock, facebook. Targetting those taking part in pageants can just come to me and I rent it out to them. I would need assistance and sponsorships because when I create my dresses, I don't use any sewing machines. I actually use my hands. So if I get an opportunity to get a sponsor and I will get a sewing machine. I will be able to get fabrics like that will really help me out a lot. I'll be able to create dresses for people and any other type of clothes they want, but like really unique clothes."

She says although she only does this in her spare time she would like to put Namibia on the map one day by designing clothes that can be worn by celebrities and be sold on the international market.

" Since trash is something that is very soft, it can always tear so I was like, Okay, how about I actually use fabric and then I cover up them with trash? That's what I decided to do. So, it can actually last longer. As you can see this dress right now is currently  starting to rip off because it's been a while. if only I actually made it out of this only, it wouldn't be that strong. So I also try to, like, make sure my things that I create are quality. I also make sure that the price is also affordable. I have rented out one like this one. I have bracelets as well. I create unique bracelets, you just tell me what name you want on the bracelet, and then I can create it for you, " she explained.

Angula highlighted that by the end of the year, she would like to host a fashion show with her designs although capital is one of her biggest challenges.
She is asking those who can come on board and assist for her dreams to come true.
