The Association of Charismatic and Pentecostal Churches of Namibia (ACPCN) is calling for a National Day of Prayer and Moral Renewal ahead of the 2025 Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections slated for 26 November.

The organisation said the initiative is meant to create a moment of national reflection, unity, and guidance as the country prepares for a critical democratic period.

The leadership of the Association recently held discussions with the Presidency, where they formally proposed and concluded 20 November 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, as the official date.

They emphasised that the call is not political but a voluntary moment for Namibians to pause and pray from wherever they are, at home, in churches, workplaces, or in small community groups.

ACPCN Board member Leah Shaanika said the initiative is rooted in the belief that values of peace, calmness, and responsible leadership are essential during election seasons.

The Association said more logistical details and designated gathering points will be communicated to the public in due course.

They are urging religious bodies, community leaders and the general public to support the initiative as an opportunity to reinforce national cohesion.
