Team Europe held its annual year-end media engagement, bringing together ambassadors from Finland, France, Germany, Portugal and Spain. 

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, in partnership with UNFPA and supported by the European Union, HISA Namibia, and the United Nations in Namibia, hosted a community activation event in Windhoek as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Miss International Namibia, Uatjiri Mbaisa, returned home after participating in the 63rd Miss International Beauty Pageant grand finale last week in Tokyo, Japan. 

Miss International Colombia, Catalina Duque, walked away with the title.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), in collaboration with Club de Madrid and Junior Chamber International Namibia (JCIN), hosted the Ethical Use of Social Media Seminar for Young Women in Politics.

Namibia and Indonesia have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cultural diplomacy and strengthening the bond between their people.

Miss Namibia, Johanna Swartbooi, returned home following her participation in the 74th Miss Universe Pageant Finale, held on 21 November in Thailand. 

Swartbooi did not advance to the Top 30, exiting the competition after the preliminary round.

An independent candidate endorsed by the Okahandja Ratepayers Association, describing himself as "Okahandja's last hope", has said his campaign is centred on championing artists' rights and pushing for the long-overdue enactment of Namibia's updated Copyright Bill.

The Roads Authority (RA) of Namibia hosted the Committee and Board Meetings of the Association of Southern African National Roads Agencies (ASANRA) this week.

Women and men across the country today participated in the National Women's Shutdown Namibia, a coordinated silent lie-down held in solidarity with Women for Change in South Africa. 

The 15-minute standstill called on the government to declare gender-based violence and femicide a national disaster.
