President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has departed for the G20 summit in South Africa.

The summit is set to take place in Johannesburg from the 22nd to the 23rd of November.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah says that Africa expects real financial reforms and faster climate change support, as developing countries continue to suffer the most.

"What we are really looking for is to see real reform in the financial institutions that will allow the developing countries also to have access to affordable finance. And also another issue. We are now all honoured by the impacts of climate change. And there have been quite many programmes of climate change and developing countries, particularly Africa, who did not contribute much to their mission; they continue to suffer."

G20 is a leader's summit where countries from the world's largest economies meet to discuss global economic issues development, and major international challenges.

The discussion is centred on economic stability, global challenges, trade and climate change.
