Kavango West Region has recorded 19 road fatalities this year.

Road crashes also increased by 115 cases, compared to last year.

In 2025, Kavango West recorded a total number of 307 crashes involving 332 vehicles.

One hundred and thirty-two people sustained serious to slight injuries.

Last year, the region recorded 192 crashes, 25 serious injuries and nine fatalities.

Sakuwa-Neo says safety is a shared responsibility and urged community members not to take the law into their hands when accidents happen.

The festive season operation, which will run until the 16th of January, aims to create awareness and combat all forms of crime.
