Amid global geopolitical tensions, Namibia and Botswana have committed to exchanging strategies to secure critical commodities, such as oil flows, and ensure ports remain open to facilitate the smooth movement of goods to strengthen economic growth.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted these goals during a one-day visit by President Duma Boko and his delegation.

The leaders pledged deeper collaboration in trade, infrastructure, tourism, natural resources management, and logistics.

Key initiatives include unlocking regional value chains through the Walvis Bay Port to boost competitiveness and advancing the soon-to-be-implemented Trans-Kalahari Railway Corridor.

These discussions build on the Bi-National Commission's agreements.

President Boko reiterated the need for enhanced infrastructure, trade corridors, and technology deployment to ease the movement of goods and people.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved between the two nations so far.
