The deputy minister of health and social services, Suzan Ndjaleka, has called for teamwork and unity from the health staff to improve Namibians' access to health care and social services.
The staff of the ||Kharas regional council organised a gathering to congratulate the ǃNamiǂNûs Constituency Councillor on her appointment as Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services.
"We must collectively be aware that the health care and social well-being of each and every one is important, so this will be my role, and I know we can collectively do it, and with any other duties that will be assigned to us, most heartily, we have a very youthful staff; you must partake and participate to help us carry out the mandate of the ||kharas region and the ||Kharas region can build trust in the government. This is simply that because this is about decentralisation, it's about making sure the services are felt at the grassroots," said Suzan Ndjaleka.
The Chairperson of the regional council, Gerrit Witbooi, congratulated the newly appointed deputy minister on behalf of the region.
"We are very proud of your achievement; share your achievement and talk to your managers. They are still your directors; they can bring up any complaints and motions from an ordinary side of administration. Work together with them; we six are already there for you."
Ndjaleka will continue to serve and represent her constituency at the regional level while supporting the Minister of Health and Social Services in strengthening Namibia's healthcare and social service delivery.
