The Namibia Premier Football League season ended this past weekend with African Stars confirmed as champions after a strong finish on the final day as Tigers, Life Fighters, and Rundu Chiefs are relegated.
The 30-match season ended with African Stars securing their fourth straight title in as many years.
Stars collected 58 points, winning 16 matches and losing four, matching their points total from the 2024/25 season.
In second place, Eeshoke Chula Chula, under coach John Sikerete, finished with 57 points. This was an improvement of 12 points from their 2024/25 season, where they finished seventh.
Mighty Gunners finished third after overtaking FC Ongos, who lost their final match to African Stars. The Gunners ended the season with a 5-1 win over Tigers and collected 49 points from 14 wins and nine losses.
FC Ongos, KK Palace, Blue Waters, Eleven Arrows, and UNAM completed the top eight and qualified for the Standard Bank Top 8 Cup, which starts in May.
At the bottom of the table, Tigers, Life Fighters, and Rundu Chiefs have been relegated.
Tigers drop to the Southern Stream First Division. Life Fighters, who finished 15th, return to the North West First Division after one season in the top league.
Tigers, one of the oldest clubs in the league, are relegated for the first time since the start of the competition. They leave with two league titles and two NFA Cup trophies.
Rundu Chiefs go back to the North East First Division after one season in the top division. They won four matches from 30 games, lost 15, and finished last with 23 points.
With the season complete, attention now turns to cup competition, as the top eight teams prepare for the Standard Bank Top 8 Cup in May.
