As part of the Genocide Remembrance Day commemoration, Vice President Lucia Witbooi visited the San community at the Ombili location in Eenhana town.

The visit aimed to assess their living conditions and to familiarise herself with the community, which now falls under the Presidency through her office.

During the visit, she encouraged community members to take their children to school while also urging them to preserve their culture and traditions.

Vice President Witbooi further promised that their living conditions would improve, noting that the Eenhana Town Council has allocated land for the construction of decent houses to help restore the community’s dignity.
