Swapo members from Koës and Aroab in the ǁKaras Region have been equipped with leadership skills as the party strengthens its structures ahead of the election cycle.

About 20 Swapo members attended the on-day training. Political Bureau and central committee member Steve Ovambo stated that the training is being rolled out across the regions.

“We know that next year, we will have another round of elections, including internal ones leading up to the national elections. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves as we enter this election season. It is essential that we do not send out leaders who are not well equipped and informed, as leadership is fundamentally about influence.”

He said the training will also help leaders to deliver effectively.

“Swapo is ready, and Swapo is going to deliver, and the deliverance of Swapo is only on its leadership, and we have got the best out of the best.”
