Miss World Namibia 2026 Elly Aron has returned home after representing Namibia at the Miss World Festival in Vietnam, where she joined contestants from 110 other countries.

Although Aron did not qualify for the main Miss World competition, she secured a top-five position in the Media Challenge.

Aron says she is honoured to have represented the country on one of the biggest international stages.

“I’m so grateful to have been our representative this year. I had the honour of meeting 110 other very, very beautiful and equally deserving young ladies. I’m so grateful to have been part of this journey in Vietnam. We have done great, and I think I have done an awesome job. I believe I have represented my country well and made my people very proud.”

Her mother, Beata Aron, expressed gratitude to everyone who was behind Elly throughout the competition.

“I really appreciate the team for my daughters, and I appreciate the entire country. I really appreciate her, whatever she brought to the country. It means a lot in our life.”

Her Godfather Jackson Wandjiva said Aron represented the country with pride and helped showcase the voices and experiences of young Namibian women on an international platform.

“We are proud of her. She represented Namibia very well, and we are just happy that she carried herself so well as a young Namibian woman representing Namibian girls. The narrative she was putting forward was well understood by the world, so it was a good exposure for her.”

Meanwhile, Miss World Namibia National Director Andreas Robert said the organisation is pleased with Aron's performance but believes greater national support is needed when Namibians represent the country internationally.

The Miss World Grand Final was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 5 September.

Joheirry Mola Dominguez from the Dominican Republic won the 73rd Miss World pageant.
