Okakarara Youth Against Crime has started a movement against drug and alcohol abuse in the community by taking to the streets to raise awareness of its dangers.

The Ministry of Works and Transport has revealed in the National Assembly that they are engaging with the Office of the Attorney General to hold e-hailing companies accountable for permitting illegal operators on their platforms.

First Gentleman Epaphras Ndaitwah has called for urgent address of rising Gender-Based Violence (GBV) cases in the ||Kharas Region.

He said, although there has been some decline in overall crime in the region, GBV cases remain a cause for concern.
