The Namibian Constitution ranks among the world's most progressive supreme laws-safeguarding fundamental rights, freedoms, and the rule of law.

Ten countries have reaffirmed diplomatic relations with Namibia, identifying priority areas of cooperation including trade, tourism, infrastructure development, and various exchange programmes.

A large number of learners attended the official celebrations of Constitution Day, held at Opuwo in the Kunene Region.
 
The Office of the Ombudsman, who hosted the event, emphasised the protection and respect for the rights of children at all times.
 

The leadership of the Ovaherero Traditional Authority in the Aminius Constituency has pledged to assist local schools in bridging the resource gap.

The authority has also committed itself to helping the education fraternity address discipline issues among learners.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says the death of former Cabinet Minister Erkkie Nghimtina has robbed the nation of a committed freedom fighter and dedicated national leader.
 
Nghimtina died on Sunday at the age of 78.
