President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah described the late Kanana Hishoono as the bravest, most selfless person and a veteran of the liberation struggle.

She said Hishoono contributed immensely to consolidating the gains of independence and democracy, serving in various capacities.

A decade of power struggles in the Ohakafiya District of the Oukwanyama Traditional Authority has finally ended, following the installation of a new headman, Nghifikepunye Ndemudina, on Monday.

The community and the traditional authority had been at loggerheads since 2013.
