Omuthiya residents will no longer have to travel to the Ondangwa Magistrate's Court to access court services, as the Office of the Judiciary has announced that the official commencement of court operations at the Omuthiya Periodical Court is scheduled for Monday, 08 June, bringing services closer to the residents.

The Office of the Judiciary says the Gobabis Magistrate's Court has a permanently appointed regional court magistrate, and that bail applications are heard as a matter of urgency when brought before the court.

This is according to Executive Director Bernhardt Kukuri, who says that financial constraints contribute to delays in delivering justice.
