Residents of Nkurenkuru in the Kavango West Region gathered over the weekend to clean up Namibia’s youngest town.

Nkurenkuru is growing day by day, and with growth comes a whole list of challenges, such as waste management, which, if not handled properly, can lead to pollution.

School to be built for Ndama East learners

The Ministry of Education has agreed to construct a school at the site where learners are currently being taught under trees in Ndama East, Rundu.

The decision followed an intervention by Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare after discussions between the community and authorities reached a stalemate.

The Sikondo Green Scheme in the Kavango West Region is experimenting with a new potato variety called Valor. It's the first time the scheme is trying out a different potato, and the acting farm manager said they can't wait until the spuds reach maturity.

It was an emotional affair as various mothers gathered to share stories about their premature babies during the NGO's 10th anniversary.
