President Mbumba assesses green schemes in Kavango regions

President Nangolo Mbumba is on a three-day visit to the Kavango regions visiting green scheme projects to assess their productivity.

The President's first stop was the Sikondo Green Scheme, situated in Kavango West Region.

PDM donates water infrastructure to Rupara village

The Popular Democratic Movement has donated water infrastructure worth N$75,000 to members of the Shack Dwellers Federation in Kavango West's Rupara Village. 

After constructing their houses in 2023, 32 members of the Shack Dwellers Federation had to source income to cater for their own water needs.

Kehemu Primary School renamed to Jafet Haiyambo

40 years after its establishment, the Kehemu Primary School in Rundu has been renamed after its first principal, Jafet Haiyambo.

The school was established in 1984, with about 450 learners and 11 teachers.

It then catered to learners from grades one to four, accommodated in 10 classrooms.

The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Dr. Albert Kawana, officially inaugurated the Ncamagoro Police Station in the Kavango West Region.

The construction was done at a cost of over N$15 million.
