FAMILY OF SEVEN LEFT HOMELESS AFTER FIRE

A family of seven in Hakahana, Windhoek, has been left homeless after their house caught fire on Monday morning.
   
The house owner, Rachel Mwanyekele, recalled leaving the house to buy food and other necessities with plans to travel to the north the following day.

All the family's belongings were razed to the ground, leaving them with only the clothes on their back.

A 62-year-old resident of Windhoek's Goreangab area, Maripurua Kotjipari, has been left homeless after his shack burnt down.

Kotjipari was reading by candlelight at nine o'clock in the evening when he fell asleep.
