Masida and Makanga access roads set for completion by August

Construction of access roads leading to Masida and Makanga Villages in the Zambezi Region is expected to be completed this year.

Initially, the two access roads were meant to be upgraded to gravel before the Roads Authority (RA) revised that decision to design them at low-volume seal level.

The Minister of Works and Transport, John Mutorwa, has announced that plans to construct the Impalila Island Airdrome have advanced as the bid evaluation process for consultancy services was concluded in April this year, with bidders already notified of the evaluation outcome. 

Minister Veikko Nekundi assesses road conditions in Okongo constituency

Works and Transport Deputy Minister Veikko Nekundi visited the Okongo constituency in the Ohangwena Region to assess earth-track roads in that area.

These hard-to-navigate sandy roads are hampering development and making it difficult for communities to access schools and health centres promptly.
