The first National Namibian Nurses Seminar took place in Windhoek, focusing on sharing advanced nursing practices, enhancing patient care, and addressing challenges within the healthcare sector.

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Esperance Luvindao, has stated that Namibia's public health workers are the second-highest paid in the SADC region.

The Executive Director in the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Ben Nangombe, said plans are ongoing to address inequities and constraints to accessing health facilities.

Also to be reviewed is the conduct of healthcare workers and perceived shortcomings in project management.

The festive season is a time for love, joy, and cherished memories, but for essential workers, it's a season of service and sacrifice. 

Healthcare workers are among the essential workers who are still caring for the sick.
