Works and Transport Minister Veiko Nekundi says rail parastatal Trans Namib's locomotive tender process will soon be relaunched in line with public procurement laws, which will open the bid to multiple suppliers. 

Minister of Finance Ericah Shafudah says that NamPost was awarded the tender of distributing grants as a result of the public entity to public entity procurement strategy.

This was her response to IPC MP Lilian Lutuhezi, who sought clarity on how the ministry came to the decision.

The Namibia Local Business Association (NALOBA) has expressed concern over the recent decision by NamWater to award a major water pipeline tender of N$237 million to a Chinese company.

NALOBA said NamWater bypassed competent local businesses.
