A long-standing justice gap in the Oshikoto Region is beginning to close, as the Omuthiya Periodical Magistrate's Court, which commenced last month, continues making an impact.

The judiciary spokesperson, Vikitoria Hango, says the Judicial Service Commission is "unable to provide the requested information" regarding the timeline for recruiting the Prosecutor General.

Court proceedings across the country came to a standstill on Wednesday morning, as magistrates began a strike, leaving accused persons, lawyers, and prosecutors waiting in courtrooms with no presiding officers.

Spokesperson at the Judiciary, Vikitoria Hango, has confirmed that the Judicial Service Commission has received a complaint filed by Dr. Job Amupanda against High Court Judge Shafimana Ueitele.
