The Association of the Dependents of Namibia's Veterans (AODNDV) is calling on the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs to respond to a petition they submitted on August 29th of this year. 

Defence Ministry confirms authenticity of circulated letter

The Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs has confirmed the authenticity of a letter which is being circulated on social media.

The letter states that Treasury received authorisation to settle a N$60.9 million civil claim with Enercon.

NAMCOR corruption case postponed as former finance executive denies wrongdoing

The NAMCOR corruption case was postponed to the 1st of August for the continuation of bail proceedings.

Jennifer Hamukwaya, a former finance executive at NAMCOR, testified at the Windhoek Magistrate's Court on Friday. 

Hamukwaya is among the eight accused people seeking to be released on bail.

Dr. Mubita allegations of pandemic corruption at august 26

The Deputy Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs, Charles Mubita, has dismissed allegations of pandemic corruption in the ministry and on August 26, a company wholly owned by the ministry.

The deputy minister was responding to questions posed by AR leader Job Amupanda.

The Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs welcomed the newly appointed Deputy Minister, Dr. Charles Mubita, and Executive Director, Annely Haiphene, at its headquarters.

Staff members also bid farewell to the former Deputy Minister, Hilma Nicanor, and the former Executive Director, Wilhelmine Shivute.
