Former parliamentarian Patience Masua has been appointed as the interim executive chairperson of the National Youth Council (NYC).

The National Youth Council (NYC) held a meeting with youth at Khorixas to discuss the challenges they faced, such as youth participation, leadership, and skill development.

Independent Patriots for Change MP Michael Mulunga has queried the Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, about the status of the National Youth Council, which he said had been without a substantive board for some time.

The National Youth Council (NYC) will sponsor two Miss Namibia 2025 finalists, Johanna Swartbooi and Alica Mokhatu, who both represent Okahandja.

The sponsorship came about after the contestants approached Okahandja Mayor Beatrice Katungondo, who referred them to NYC.
