The Ministry of International Relations and Trade (MIRT) has reiterated its resolve to strengthen economic diplomacy and ensure small and medium enterprises' access to external markets.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi considers the strategic location of Ondangwa a gateway to creating a broader trade and regional value chain. 

Witbooi made the remarks during the fundraising gala dinner, which saw close to N$900,000 raised in pledges to host the Ondangwa Industrial and Trade Exhibition.

The Minister of Industries, Mines, and Energy has assured residents of Onandjaba Village that plans are underway to upgrade the facilities of the Namibia Investment Development Agency (NIDA) to make them more appealing for trade. 

The High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Namibia, Caesar Waitara, said his government is committed to seeing increased trade between his country and Namibia. 

Waitara spoke to National FM's Gordon Joseph at the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair.
