All public entities in Namibia are required to reserve a specific percentage of their procurement plans for SME participation.

Minister of Finance Erica Shafudah said this in response to Nudo leader Vetaruhe Kandorozu, who questioned whether there is a procurement threshold dedicated to SMEs.

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has assured continued visits and engagements with public entities to strengthen service delivery and gain a better understanding of their operations and the challenges they face.

Minister of Finance Ericah Shafudah says that NamPost was awarded the tender of distributing grants as a result of the public entity to public entity procurement strategy.

This was her response to IPC MP Lilian Lutuhezi, who sought clarity on how the ministry came to the decision.
