Most rural constituents in the Omaheke Region are in need of better service provision, such as health, water, sanitation, education, road upgrades and income-generating projects to improve their livelihoods.

Zaamwani hands over resettlement letters to Omaheke farm workers

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani, has officially handed over allotment letters for resettlement farming units to generational farm workers who had previously grazed in the corridors of the Omaheke Region. 

Epukiro Community Group opposes bail for stock theft suspects

Epukiro's Eiseb Community Against Stock Theft Organisation-CASO has petitioned against the granting of bail to the suspects implicated in multiple reported cases of stock theft.

The suspects are Synanus Karukukutu Katjiutua, Paul Gun-Gun Tjiposa, Mbeurora Tjomuho, Travold Tjandero and Mosupi Udigeng.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Ruth Masake, has encouraged farming communities in the Omaheke Region to embrace continuous improvement in livestock breeding.

Masake was speaking at the 5th annual RiVeKa livestock production auction at Okorukambe.
