THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED OVER TOURIST ROBBERY

Three suspects have been apprehended by the police in Otjiwarongo after allegedly robbing an American tourist couple at a local lodge in town.

Otjozondjupa Police Community Liaison Officer Maureen Mbeha said the suspects are between the ages of 24 and 33.

Police in the Ohangwena Region have expressed concern over the rising number of suicide cases and other serious crimes recorded in the region over the past three years.

Police Commander Ottilie Kashuupulwa says 189 suicide cases were recorded since 2023, of which 37 are this year alone.
