The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, has urged staff members at Eenhana to uphold professionalism and improve service delivery.

The safety and security sector has received the second largest allocation, amounting to N$17 billion, which accounts for 19,5% of the total budget of N$106 billion.

The administrative sector, on the other hand, has also received N$6,1 billion for the 2026/2027 financial year.

The Namibian government has reassured residents and visitors that the country remains safe and secure following recent travel advisories issued by Canada and Germany. 

The Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security Minister, Lucia Iipumbu, has inaugurated the Chief Christian Eerike Zeraeua Police Station at Omatjete Settlement in the Erongo Region.

To help law enforcement combat crime more efficiently in the |Khomas Region, the regional council donated three prefabricated administration offices to Klein Windhoek Police Station, valued at N$400,000. 

The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, Lucia Iipumbu, has said that, despite budgetary constraints, the ministry is ensuring that every police station has at least one generator. 

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security has discharged 21 staff members between 2020 and 2025 for matters related to the illegal issuance of national documents and permits.

This was revealed by Minister Lucia Iipumbu following reports of the illegal sale of national documents.

The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Lucia Iipumbu, said a Quantum bus was available for the Namibia Correctional Service officials who died in the Mariental accident on Saturday.

She said it remains unclear why the officers were transported in a vehicle reserved for inmates.

Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security Minister Lucia Iipumbu launched Operation Lucia, named after her, in Oshakati, Oshana Region.

The Vice President of Namibia, Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, says the acceleration of the country's developmental agenda can be attained at a fast pace through public-private partnerships. 

She made these remarks during the inauguration of the Onawa police station in the Oshana Region.
