President honours women’s role in liberation struggle

Modestus Amutse appointed new minister of Industries, Mines and Energy

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appointed Modestus Amutse as the new Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy, effective 2 December 2025.

Amutse took over from Frans Kapofi, who had been acting in the position since the dismissal of Natangue Ithete in October.

Nandi-Ndaitwah urges Namibian youth to seize government opportunities

Swapo Party President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on the youth of Namibia to make use of available opportunities provided by the Namibian government.

Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah made the call at the Swapo Party's final campaign rally ahead of Wednesday's Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah returns from G20 Summit in South Africa

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has returned to Namibia from Johannesburg, South Africa, where she attended the G20 Summit as an invited guest of South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah landed at the Keetmanshoop Airport.
