The Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, has motivated the motion on Namibia's accession to full membership of the Maritime Organisation of Eastern, Southern, and Northern Africa.

The Indian Navy ship, INS Tarkash, is visiting the port of Walvis Bay with the purpose of further strengthening maritime cooperation between India and Namibia.
