Ghana and Tanzania will be the focus of President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's diplomatic engagements from 17 to 22 June.
 

Namibian and Russian are working tirelessly to deepen trade, investment and technology areas, leveraging on the sound historical friendship.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah held bilateral discussions with South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa in Johannesburg yesterday.

The minister of Foreign Affairs from the Kyrgyz Republic and the Secretary of Foreign Affairs from the Philippines paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of International Relations and Trade (MIRT).

International Relations and Trade Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavyi has called on Chinese businesses to deepen trade ties by investing in value addition to Namibia’s natural resources. 

She made the remarks during a roundtable and networking engagement in Shenzhen, China. 

The Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, is set to strengthen bilateral cooperation with China during her visit there.

Ashipala-Musavyi is on a working visit from 11 to 18 April 2026.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria hosted Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby in Abuja on Thursday.

Their talks focused on security cooperation and economic coordination in the Sahel and Lake Chad Basin.

The Namibia-Cuba Friendship Association has called for a national consultative process aimed at mobilising humanitarian support for the island nation.

Trade between Namibia and Russia has grown over the years, reaching a peak of over 300 million by the end of 2025.

Building on this long-standing relationship, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev paid a courtesy call on President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Namibia and Russia are seeking to expand trade, investment and cooperation.

Officials from the two countries met in Windhoek for the 11th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Namibia and Russia.
