United Democratic Front (UDF) MP Nico Somaeb raised concerns regarding patients allegedly losing their lives while being transported to ICU units in the capital.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services has inaugurated a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Swakopmund District Hospital to improve survival rates for premature and critically ill newborns.

The renovation of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dialysis Centre at the Intermediate Hospital Rundu is back on track.

This comes after the Prime Minister, Elijah Ngurare, toured the hospital in September and enquired why the renovations had stopped.
