The memorial service for the late President, Hage Geingob saw an outpouring of sentimental tributes from various dignitaries and performers at the Independence Arena in Katutura. 

Namibia's Diplomatic Mission in the United States of America held a memorial service to celebrate the life and legacy of the late President Hage Geingob.

February 4th will be remembered as one of the saddest days in the Namibian nation's history. 

While death is a part of life, the loss of a Head of State is something new to the nation. 

Mourners gathered at the residence of the late President Hage Geingob in Windhoek to convey messages of condolences to widow Monica Geingos and the family at large.

Among the mourners were Founding President Sam Nujoma.

Mourners gathered at Onekwaya West in the Ohangwena Village for the memorial of the late Ambassador Hadino Hishongwa.

Mourners described Hishongwa as a philanthropist and a man who immensely contributed to the freedom and independence of Namibia.

Katere Primary School held a memorial service for the late Kangungu family members, who died due to suspected food poisoning.

Of the 16 family members, eight were learners at the school.

Family, friends, and neighbors of two of the young boys who were swept away by flash floods on Wednesday held a memorial service on Sunday.
