During yesterday's session of the National Assembly, members of the opposition expressed resistance toward the proposed Land Bill, stating that they cannot approve it in its current form.

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) is calling on stakeholders to attend the National Tourism Policy consultations. 

The consultations started on the 3rd of March and will end on the 17th. 

Stakeholders in the Erongo Region have welcomed the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism's (MEFT) efforts to consult widely on the review of the National Tourism Policy.

The Chief Tourism Officer at MEFT, Frans Helao, explained that the review of the policy is aimed at expanding its relevance.

Stakeholders in the tourism industry in the ||Kharas Region say the 2008 National Tourism Policy needs to be revised to respond to the current needs.

They said this on the sidelines of a two-day consultative workshop at Keetmanshoop.

Landless People's Movement (LPM) leader Bernadus Swartbooi has called on opposition parties in parliament to work in unity for the betterment of all Namibians.

Swartbooi made the remarks during the 4th National Convention of the party held in Windhoek. 

The Namibia Education Coalition has called on the Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture to introduce a policy that will guide the use of educational technology to shift from teaching in classrooms alone.
