Joel Angula (45), one of the suspects implicated in Saturday’s diamond heist, appeared before the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court today.

Angula faces multiple charges, including one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of uncut rough diamonds.

His co-accused, Sam Shololo, is facing the same charges, but he remains hospitalised and under medical care.

The State has opposed bail, citing the severity of the charges, including robbery with aggravating circumstances. Angula will remain in custody at the Windhoek Correctional Facility.

His next court appearance is scheduled for May 23.
