The bail applications of six of seven suspects in the murder of Matheus Sheehama, a final-year student at NUST, have been postponed to the 11th of February.
The postponement was due to the absence of a prosecutor on the second day of the bail application in the Walvis Magistrates' Court.
The suspects were arrested on July 30 last year after Sheehama's body was discovered at Independence Beach in Walvis Bay.
Sheehama had gone missing on July 27 after attending a braai with his girlfriend, who was arrested in connection with his disappearance.
According to police investigation, Sheehama was allegedly accused of slapping his girlfriend Jessica !Gaes, which led to an attack by the accused.
After a week-long search, Sheehama's body was discovered washed ashore on July 31, prompting further arrests.
The accused face charges of murder, defeating the course of justice, and kidnapping.
The suspects include !Gaes' brother, Jimmy !Gaeb, her ex-boyfriend Michael Awaseb, and four others, namely Marvin Wapota, Romano Paulus, Enrico Gomachab, and Moses Kandume.
The seventh suspect, Michael Awaseb, did not appear as he is awaiting a response on his application for government legal aid.
