A registered nurse, who is stationed at Etunda Farm Clinic, Josephine Namupala, has vowed to continue serving the health and education legacy of Founding President, Dr Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma, who passed away early this morning.

Nujoma was instrumental in the establishment of the multi-million-dollar clinic built by the Etunda Farm Trust under the Sam Nujoma Foundation.

The clinic was handed over to the Ministry of Health and Social Services in 2017, with the aim to help serve the farm population as well as anyone finding themselves in the vicinity.

In a sombre interview, a distraught sister Namupala expressed that working at the clinic brought her closer to Nujoma, who would come by every other day when visiting his farmhouse.

Namupala also helped attend to Nujoma's medical assessment visits, especially during long periods of stay at the farm, which she says served as proof he had faith in the health services provided there.

The clinic provides all services from maternity, immunisation, and antiretroviral treatment, while cases that require specialists or are complicated are referred to the Otavi Health District or Otjiwarongo State Hospital.

Etunda Clinic forms part of the farm school project, whose construction is ongoing. Once completed, it will be handed over to the Ministry of Education, Art, and Culture.
