The Governor of the Bank of Namibia (BoN), Johannes !Gawaxab, joined central bank governors from Africa, Europe, and Asia at the Mozambique-China Cultural Centre in Maputo for the International Symposium celebrating the 50th anniversary of Banco de Moçambique over the weekend.

The symposium was held under the theme “Credibility of Central Banks and Monetary Policy”.

In a statement, BoN said the engagements serve as a platform for it to refine policy frameworks, strengthen cross-border financial resilience, and deepen the institution's commitment to price stability and financial integrity.

Moreover, engaging with global counterparts enhances the Bank's ability to navigate complex economic landscapes while upholding its mandate as the custodian of Namibia's economic future.
