Namibia is participating in the 17th U.S.-Africa Business Summit, which started today in Angola and will run until the 25th.

The country seeks to identify effective solutions for diversifying the African economy while enhancing trade, investment and business relations between the United States and Africa.

The summit will be held under the theme "Pathways to Prosperity: A Shared Vision for U.S.-Africa Partnership".

As Namibia strives to position itself as an economic and investment powerhouse, the Namibian delegation has secured a dedicated session to promote investment in the country, focusing on key sectors like oil and gas, healthcare, logistics, infrastructure, ICT, and agribusiness. Namibia will also showcase local products at an exhibition booth and hold strategic meetings with global investors and partners.

The goal is to attract investment, boost trade, and strengthen ties with the U.S., Angola, and other African nations, positioning Namibia as a key regional gateway for business and infrastructure development.

There will also be discussions about advancing the AFCFTA goals and exploring cross-border infrastructure projects with Angola.

Private Namibian businesses are also joining the delegation, making this a collaborative national push for growth and global partnerships, while over 15 African heads of state have confirmed attendance.
