The Edu-Conservation Initiative has launched its toolkit, aimed at boosting education and connectivity in rural areas.
Director Julie Cleverdon said at the launch in the capital that the toolkits are meant to create secure learning environments while promoting sustainable educational practices.
"So the programme is actually about taking conservation messaging into the classrooms, but on an everyday basis, okay? So we are developing teachers toolkits with lesson plans and resources that the teachers can use in their everyday teaching in the classroom and in the existing curriculum, and soon we will have an online resource portal where any teacher in Namibia or anywhere in Africa can download these resources to use."
Additionally, she provided details on the distribution and availability of the toolkits, urging schools to access more information on child safety and education from online resources.
The Director of the National Institute for Educational Development, Dr Patrick Simalumba, emphasised the importance of improving connectivity to support schools facing technological challenges.
Dr Simalumba underscored their commitment to enhancing learning opportunities and resources for learners in underserved regions.
