President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has maintained the government's resolve to work together with the private sector in advancing Namibia's developmental agenda.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah once again stressed the crucial role of the private sector during a courtesy visit by the top management of the Olthaver and List (O&L) Group.
The O&L Group is one of the largest local businesses in the country with diverse interests across different sectors.
President Nand-Ndaitwah expressed pleasure at the approaches from the company.
"I am really grateful to see the new innovation that O&L is coming up with, and I believe that your presence here today is just to inform me more. I have always been saying, and I mean what I say, that as a government, we have to work together with the private sector, and more specifically, I would like to see our local private sector grow and lead our economic path."
O&L Executive Chairperson Sven Thieme described Nandi-Ndaitwah's leadership as empowering, starting with the smooth transition of power.
"We love your leadership; you empower us, and whenever people say, How's the new president? How is the new government? How is the change? How was it? We are empowered, and we can say the best, and I think it was done, from a business point of view, in a way that creates business trust. At the end of the day, the government is in charge of the country, but the job that was done is absolutely perfect for us to pull up our businesses."
The O&L Group's management paid a courtesy call on the President to brief her on the company's business model and operations, among others.
