Volunteers at Keetmanshoop gathered for the National Clean-up campaign, aimed at fostering a cleaner and healthier environment.

Neglected waste and pollution pose significant health risks, impacting air quality, water sources, and overall public health.

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism, along with the Office of the ||Kharas Governor and local volunteers, participated in the national clean-up campaign held at Keetmanshoop.

Despite a relatively low turnout, volunteers say the platform allows them to play their part in contributing to a clean and healthy environment.

||Kharas Governor, Dawid Gertze, thanked all volunteers who took the time off to be part of the cleanup campaign.

"This should actually be a continuous process so that we keep the town clean, and as we are setting an example today, we must make sure that we inculcate the same spirit and attitude in our own people."

All seven constituencies in the ||Kharas Region participated in the clean-up campaign.
