There is an urgent need to preserve Namibia's history through visual representation for future generations.

Joe Vision Production Founder Joel Haikali, who was instrumental and the director of the documentary 'Netumbo: A Leader Beyond Politics', made the remarks during the premiere. 

"I would like to sincerely thank Her Excellency for recognising the transformative power of the creative sector in Namibia, which urgently needs to invest in archiving and in the preservation of our visual memory.  But as we celebrate tonight, this premiere will also be a call to action. We urgently need to invest in archiving. Even materials that were created in solidarity with the liberation struggle are often difficult and expensive to access.  This is very important, because without this, it's really difficult for storytellers to tell their stories. This is a challenge for any production, let alone a country that is trying to document its own path."
